The Church closes a missionary’s @missionary.org account about 90 days after they come home. Every letter and every photograph goes with it. We turn those letters into a printed hardcover, in the words they were written in. Nobody has to write or design anything.
Free to see your whole book first. Only pay if you want it printed. Still out? You pay for the book now and it comes off the price at the end.
Three steps, about ten minutes
Mission completed? Google Takeout gives you one file with every letter that was sent — we'll show you exactly which buttons to press. Missionary still serving? Add the private MissionMems address to the weekly email, and every letter and photo is saved as it arrives.
Every letter, organized into chapters by area, with each week's photos beside the letter they came with. The lines under the photographs come out of the letters themselves. Nothing is invented.
The whole book on screen before you approve it. Nothing prints until you say so, and the hardcover is yours only if you want it.

Often not. Access ends around 90 days after release and the account is usually gone by 120. It is worth signing in at mail.missionary.org from a computer rather than the Gmail app, and looking for Extend Access. If the account has closed, a parent who kept the weekly emails in their own Gmail works just as well, however long ago it was.
No. Every sentence in the book came out of a letter. We never invent a name, a place, or an event, and every name is confirmed by a person before it is printed.
Nobody. They sit in your own private account. We do not sell anything to anyone, we do not use the letters to train software, and you can delete all of it in two clicks.
If they're already home, you read the entire book before you pay anything — nothing prints until you say go. If they're still serving, you pay for the book up front and that comes off the price when you order; the money starts the inbox saving every letter as it's written. Either way, if your copy arrives misprinted or damaged, we'll reprint it free or refund you within 30 days.
Nothing prints until you approve it. The hardcover starts at $200 if you want it. $200 covers up to 250 pages, then 50 cents a page after that.
